CrossRoads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center is a local nonprofit providing free and confidential services to all survivors of sexual violence, child maltreatment, and human trafficking. Services are centered on each person’s healing journey, regardless of when the trauma occurred.

CrossRoads services include, but are not limited to, a 24/7 Crisis Line, Advocacy, and access to trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic modalities. CrossRoads also offers prevention education through community engagement. CrossRoads maintains strong partner relationships with organizations such as Family Abuse Services and Womens’ Resource Center as well as partners from law enforcement and child protective services to ensure the client’s healing remains the focus.

Position: Crisis Line Volunteers

Description: Provides support for victims of sexual violence, child maltreatment, and human trafficking by staffing a trauma-informed 24/7 crisis line, and when needed, connecting those in need of assistance to services.

Day & Time: Various

Location: Can utilize crisis line on your personal cell phone

Requirements: At least 18 years old and a graduate of high school; able to pass a background check; successful completion of CrossRoads Staff training, trauma-informed advocacy training, and Crisis Line training. SERVING OPPORTUNITIES:

Position: Community Education Volunteers

Description: Represent CrossRoads at community events, resources fairs, health/wellness fairs, as well as provide support for community/partner education presentations.

Position: Childcare Volunteers

Description: Provide childcare for clients during appointments to ease barriers for access to service.
