Child Baptism & Dedication

Sunday, May 12, 2024 | During our 9am and 11am Services

Child Dedication is a special time in a family's life where parents say to their church family and community that they want to raise their children, putting God first in all that they say and do. We are excited to partner alongside parents as they navigate what this looks like in their home.

There will be an online parent meeting Wednesday, May 8. Once you register, our Family Ministry team will reach out to you to schedule this meeting.

If you have questions, please contact Mollie Vaughn.

Parenting with Mental Health in Mind

Sunday, November 19 | 5:00-7:00pm | Atrium

A kid’s inner world has the power to shape their social lives, academics, and their overall mental state. The likelihood that your kid or teenager may suffer from a mental health challenge one day is high. But there’s hope: Research shows one of the best predictors of a kid’s success in life is having at least one consistent, supportive, and caring adult in their lives—and that’s you.

The Parenting with Mental Health in Mind: A Parent's Guide for Every Kid course will help you learn the psychology of what’s going on in your kid’s brain and science-based, practical tools to help your kid navigate a mental health challenge.

Parents, join us for an important conversation about how to navigate your child’s mental health with intention and care. Dinner will be provided, and childcare is available upon request.

The Critical Journey

The Critical Journey

UPDATED INFO: Saturday, November 4 | 8:30am-3:00pm | Alamance Room

We are all on a critical journey. It is a challenging, lifelong process, and we can only walk it with the help of companions and guides. This one-day retreat led by Fil Anderson offers the opportunity to explore six faith stages and understand where you are on your journey.

Stage One: Recognition of God
Stage Two: Life of Discipleship
Stage Three: Productive Life
Stage Four: Journey Inward
Stage Five: Journey Outward
Stage Six: Life of Love

The Critical Journey is a process that requires us to welcome vulnerability and uncertainty and ultimately leads us to surrender to God’s love. There, we find forgiveness, healing, acceptance, and, in later stages, stillness, wholeness, peace, and the ability to love others compassionately and selflessly.

Join us for a meaningful, lively, and experiential exploration of The Critical Journey.

Waypoint High School Retreat

Waypoint High School Retreat

Waypoint Retreat is our annual weekend retreat for our 9th-12th graders. We launched this event last year and loved it so much that we’re doing it again but bigger and better! We have rented a large beach house in North Myrtle where students will spend the weekend engaging with their small groups, eating family-style meals, enjoying the beach, and growing in their faith.

This trip is designed to help students get more plugged in with one another, as well as help students prepare their faith for their adult years. We'll be tackling hard questions and exploring how to have a practical faith--all while having fun at a beautiful beach house.

Currently all of our spots are filled. However, we are working to try to get more capacity. So, if you’re interested in coming please sign-up for the waitlist.

When: We leave St. Mark’s at 4pm on Friday, November 3rd and will arrive back at St. Mark’s at 5pm on Sunday, November 5th.

Price: $170
