Hand in Hand Summer Camp

Serving Opportunities:

SMC partners with PAYC during the summer for a two-day camp working with many of the students that we tutor during the school year. SMC’s presence in the community for the entire year creates a stronger bond with the students. Camp gives us an opportunity to have fun with the students and connect with them in a little different environment. The students are divided into four groups and spend about 20 minutes in each station. The stations are divided into story and a cookie, games, science/Bible lesson, and crafts. Camp is held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:45 am-11:15 am. Volunteers can help one day, all days, or anything in between. We are also looking for volunteers to lead the craft station, science/Bible story station, and games station. These leader positions will help in the planning of the lessons of their station.
