The Critical Journey
Saturday, November 22 | 8:30am-3pm | Atrium
We are all on a critical journey. It is a challenging, lifelong process, and we can only walk it with the help of companions and guides. This one-day retreat led by Fil Anderson offers the opportunity to unpack the stages of faith and spiritual formation: a way to deepen our faith and let go of all that is in the way of intimacy with God.
The Critical Journey is a process that requires us to welcome vulnerability and uncertainty, and ultimately leads us to surrender to God’s love. There, we find forgiveness, healing, acceptance, and, in later stages, stillness, wholeness, peace, and the ability to love others compassionately and selflessly.
Join us for a meaningful, lively, and experiential exploration of The Critical Journey.

For Your Neighbor Series Study
September 10-October 29 | 6:30-8:00pm | Atrium
St. Mark’s Community Church has a vision to make a Kingdom impact from the Triad to the Triangle. The Book of Acts gives us a picture of what it looks like to be a church on mission. The early church was unapologetically committed to inviting all people into the community of God. They were willing to make tremendous sacrifices for their neighbor.
Jesus had a plan for how a small group of people would impact Jerusalem (small), Judea (bigger), Samaria (even bigger...and messier) and the ends of the earth (huge)!
Now it’s our turn to be the Church! It’s our turn to step outside of our comfort zone and to faithfully respond to the mission field all around us. As a church, we are given a task to be witnesses to the Love of God: here in west Burlington, in east Burlington, from the Triad to the Triangle, and to the ends of the earth.
Sign up for the Wednesday night study by clicking the button below!
To register for our online study, click the button below! This study will meet online at the same time as our in-person study.
In addition to our Wednesday night study (above), men and women can choose to engage in this study as part of the Men’s Coffee and Co-Op on Tuesday mornings or the Women’s Coffee and Co-Op on Thursday mornings.
