Ice Breaker: Think about a time you’ve had to exit your comfort zone. How did this make a positive impact on your life, or on the lives of others?

Read Acts 8:26-31.

1.What stands out to you about how Phillip and the Ethiopian eunuch are out of their comfort zones?

2. The Ethiopian is already reading a prophecy about Jesus when Phillip arrives. Have you ever experienced a situation that was so much of a coincidence that it seemed like God set it up? Share about this providential situation.

Read Acts 8:32-38.

3. What Phillip is asked to do isn’t that complicated, yet it ends in a conversion and baptism. Have you ever seen God use something small to achieve life-changing results?

4. In the sermon, Pete mentioned four small ways we can “change our scenery.” Is there one that sticks out to you as significant for your life right now?

• Create time

• Cultivate talent

• Sacrifice our treasure

• Explore new terrain

5. Who are the people in your life that you might be overlooking as a “neighbor”? What assumptions or biases might you be holding that need to be surrendered to God?

6. The Ethiopian eunuch was already seeking truth. Who around you might already be curious or spiritually open—but needs someone to come alongside and explain or invite?

7. As our church prepares for growth, how can you prepare your heart and habits to be part of that mission?
