Snapshots of Heaven (Easter Sunday)
In this Easter series, we have been exploring the implications of Jesus’s four predictions of His death in Matthew. Each of Jesus’s predictions offers us a unique window – a snapshot – not just of the crucifixion but also the Kingdom of Heaven!
Warm-Up: What does strategizing look like in your life? In what areas do you need to be most strategic?
Read Matthew 25:31-40.
1. What might helping “the least of these”look like in your life? Especially in a way that avoids being judgmental or prideful.
2. Jesus mentions the “hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, and imprisoned.” Do you struggle extending grace to any of these?
3. When have you felt like the “least of these”?
4. How have people helped you in times of spiritual hunger, thirst, sickness, or imprisonment? `
Read Acts 17:22-25.
5. How does Paul meet the people of Athens where they are by recognizing their spiritual hunger, instead of focusing on how they are lost.
Read Acts 17:32-34.
6. Discuss the results of Paul’s method of evangelism in this passage. How is it especially interesting that “Dionysis” was among those who converted?
7. Close your time by talking about how you can model Paul’s approach in your life.
